G Plan

G Plan is a British furniture brand that has a rich history dating back to 1898 when Ebenezer Gomme began making furniture in his workshop in High Wycombe, England. His son Donald Gomme joined the family business in 1914 and together they expanded the company's product range.

In 1953, G Plan was officially launched as a brand, focusing on designing and producing high-quality furniture, desks, storage, sideboards, that combined style, comfort, and durability. The company quickly gained popularity and became known for its innovative designs and commitment to using only the best materials.

Some popular ranges include the following;

  1. E Gomme Brandon: The Brandon range, as mentioned earlier, offers furniture pieces characterized by clean lines, elegant design, and quality craftsmanship. It includes cabinets, sideboards, tables, and chairs.
  2. E Gomme Fresco: The Fresco range by E Gomme features Danish-inspired furniture designs. It is known for its teak wood construction, sleek lines, and distinctive sculpted handles.
  3. E Gomme Quadrille: Quadrille is another popular range from E Gomme, known for its contemporary and versatile furniture designs. It includes dining sets, sideboards, and display cabinets.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, G Plan continued to expand its product range, adding reclining chairs and sofas to its collection. The company also began to incorporate new materials into its designs, such as metal and glass, which helped to create a more modern and contemporary look.

In the 1980s, G Plan continued to evolve and adapt to changing styles and trends, introducing new collections that reflected the growing interest in minimalism and modern design. The company also expanded its international presence, exporting its furniture to markets around the world.

Today, G Plan remains one of the UK's most iconic furniture brands, renowned for its timeless designs, exceptional quality, and commitment to traditional craftsmanship. The brand continues to innovate and evolve, embracing new technologies and materials while staying true to its roots and its dedication to providing customers with the very best in comfort and style.
